Best tender steaks cooked to perfection

This was my first time ever visiting Turn n Tender Boksburg, and I’ll be honest - for the longest time I never thought I’d step foot in a restaurant so well known for meat. I’ve been a vegetarian my entire life and have never eaten meat, so when I first saw Turn n Tender, I assumed it simply wouldn’t be a place for me. I was pleasantly proven wrong. I recently discovered that they offer vegetarian options, and I finally had the chance to try them while celebrating my father-in-law’s 80th birthday. What a fantastic decision that turned out to be. I ordered the Vegetarian Curry, and it absolutely blew me away. It was perfectly cooked, beautifully presented in a potjie pot, and packed with flavour. In fact, it was better than many Indian restaurant curries I’ve had - rich, comforting, and clearly prepared with care rather than as an afterthought. It felt like a dish made to be enjoyed, not just “something vegetarian on the menu.” What made the experience even better was the friendly, welcoming staff. From the moment we arrived, I felt completely accommodated and at ease. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind - which always makes a huge difference, especially when dining somewhere for the first time. Turn n Tender Boksburg has completely changed my perception. It’s refreshing to find a restaurant known for one thing still putting real effort into catering for others. I will definitely be back, and next time it won’t be with hesitation - it’ll be with confidence and excitement. Highly recommended, even (and especially!) for vegetarians and vegans who may think this isn’t a place for them.

We love it here.. the "cut for two" is exquisite! Management are friendly and very efficient... Our waiter, Khulu was fantastic too!
